When we were looking to choose a House Claret, Château Argadens, owned by the Sichel family of Châteaux Angludet and Palmer in Margaux, ticked all the right boxes, and they were kind enough to allow us to label it as our own. This gets better every year, and the 2020 is no exception. Deeply coloured to the rim with lovely plush red and black fruits from a hot summer, with a lively fresh leafy note, tarry and broad with plenty of supple tannins. Everything a House Claret should be.
