Château Plince is found just outside the village of Catusseau in Pomerol, and has been owned by the Moreau family for over four generations. The vineyard counts Châteaux Nenin and La Pointe as its neighbours, and is planted on dark sand with an iron-rich subsoil, lending both power and suppleness to the wines.

Red black to the rim, not opaque, with a nose of zippy blackcurrant fruit, some red fruits too, restrained, leading to a palate of fresh racy black fruits with some fine, firmer tannins behind, lightly grilled and spiced with a distant note of liquorice and a juicy, creamed fruit finish; not as intense as in previous years but nonetheless delicious.
