Deep red black with lovely primary red fruit, redcurrant and rhubarb on the nose. On the palate, lovely red berry fruit, boysenberry and cherry pie, mineral and spiced with nice supple tannins, plenty of them but ripe and balanced, going to a lovely fresh finish, layered and pure, spiced and really pretty. “This is a wine that I am always happy to come across - it's not widely distributed, so I don't always taste it during En Primeur, but it's a seriously good value and enjoyable bottle, with sculpted red fruits, mandarin peel, lemongrass minerality that reflects the limestone soils. This is in its drinking window, ready to go, with a lift on the finish. Owned by the Thienpont family, brothers Jan, Florian and Clemens, it's one to look out for. In organic conversion.
