Technical Sheet |
Deep ruby with a grilled nose of toasty French oak, some leafy green notes and black forest fruits too. Super smooth on the palate, medium-bodied with black berry fruits, gentle tannins and a touch of mint, the creamy oak in support of black plum and damson fruit rather than dominating, going to a medium length finish, again super smooth with the tannins hardly noticeable. This will drink early and well. Drink 2024-2030.

Château Séraphine in Pomerol belongs to the Krajewski family with daughter Charlotte at the winemaking helm. Some vines were replanted when they took over the property, and this fruit finds its way into their second wine, L’Innocence de Séraphine. At harvest time all of the fruit is carefully sorted and designated either for the grand vin or second wine, and the pursuit of quality will see further selection during the winemaking process right to the end. Some of the wine is put into amphora and some fermented in tank, after which the young wine is aged in a mix of amphora and barrel.
