Technical Sheet |
The Domaine has 15 hectares of vines in total, split almost evenly between the communes of Gevrey Chambertin and Marsannay, predominantly planted to Pinot Noir with small amounts of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and, from 2022, Aligoté. Farming here combines organic and biodynamic principles (particularly with regard for lunar phases for vineyard work and cellar operations) but the Domaine is certified for neither – Pierre-Jean Roty says they follow what they know works rather than adopting new trends.

From four parcels across the three communes which make up Marsannay. Deep in colour but with a nose of tarry black fruit, very intense, grilled and lightly charred with a fresh leafy bite. On the palate, big black fruits abound with a substantial tannin structure behind, black and intense with an impressive amount of texture and going to a long, dark fruited, structured finish with again a fresh bite on the end. Ripe and robust. Drink 2026 - 2032
