Technical Sheet |
70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, aged 14-16 months in new French oak barrels
Deep, intense red black with a nose of lush black fruits, not overripe but intense, some fresh eucalyptus notes too, spiced and sweet, leading to a supple palate of soft red and black fruits, more approachable than usual from barrel, with a lovely perfumed black fruit character, sweet, fresh and layered with a nicely soured black fruit note, lightly grilled and deliciously fruited from start to finish, which keeps on building. Really impressive.

Château La Connivence, Pomerol, co-owned by Alexandre de Malet Roquefort of La Gaffelière is on a teeny scale by comparision of just 1.4 hectares. La Connivence has produced glorious wines since its first 2008 vintage.
