Although Domaine Matrot predominantly produces white wines, given their base in Meursault, under the stewardship of Adèle and Elsa Matrot they continue to increase their production of red wines and the sisters are proving to be equally adept red winemakers.

Less than half a normal crop here. Deep red to the rim with a nose of rounded, caramelised black cherry fruit, light and floral, perfumed, musky and savoury with some dark chocolate notes; fresh and vibrant on the palate, with creamy dark fruits, rich and long and needs some more time but this will be delicious.
