Decanter World Wine Awards PLATINUM winner with 97/100
At HBL, as we call it, Cabernet Sauvignon is the predominant variety. Stellar winemaker Jean-Michel Garcion uses a minimum of 85% in the blend, with Merlot in the supporting role along with a small percentage of Petit Verdot to add aromatics. Bought by the de Schepper family in the 1960s, this property has been on the rise ever since, through steady application of classed growth techniques and standards.

"A gorgeous wine, with deliciously ripe fruits including black cherry, blue plums and spice. There’s a huge amount here, in what is a brooding, deep, broad and earthy wine. A Margaux for the hedonists and sensualists." Decanter World Wine Awards 2020
