The Roty family have been part of the landscape of Gevrey Chambertin since 1710; a jaw-dropping eleven generations have worked vines in this northern part of the Côte d’Or. Pierre-Jean Roty told us he was delighted with the deep, vibrant colours of their 2019s.

Deep and dense to the rim, with a nose of fresh black fruit, cool and lightly spiced but very restrained, with a tightly fruited palate of crunchy black fruit, clean and compact with firmer tannins behind, dense and poised with a distant perfume and a long, rich, floral finish.
