Château Bourgneuf, Pomerol 2019

Red | France | Bordeaux | 14%

Deep red black right to the rim with a nose of perfumed black fruits, juicy and crunchy, really fresh and vibrant with notes of blackcurrant and black cherry but absolutely not sweet. On the palate, delicious red and black fruit, with more structure behind from the supple ripe tannins, so tasty, savoury and saline, structured and really fine, going to a long, rich and evolving finish. Superb wine. Drink 2027-2043+

On the western edge of Pomerol, close to Château Plince, Bourgneuf’s soils are more dominated by clay with a small amount of gravel, giving them some of the warmest soils in the appellation.
