Always wary about matching pairs, it doesn’t stop us wanting to find a white and red which complement each other beautifully. Unsurprisingly, given how well-crafted the Château Argadens red is, as witnessed by our House Claret, their white really does tick all the boxes.

A blend of 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Sémillon, the 2023 currently favours the Sauvignon notes, but as it ages over the next year or so it will take on more of the waxy, creamed notes of the Sémillon – such a chameleon! Fresh and racy on the palate with lovely grassy fruit and light hint of lemon zest, this is fuller on the palate with a zippy, sherbet-infused finish.
