The grapes for Aristea's Pinot Noir come from two vineyards located at the top of the valley of Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge (literally Heaven on Earth). The winemaking here is really hands-on with Matthew Krone punching down once a day by hand for a very gentle extraction of colour and delicate tannins.
