Technical Sheet |
The English wine scene is growing increasingly popular and for those who are interested in trying out the local stuff, the wines from Tuffon Hall are certainly ones to add to your collection. The owners, a self-described family of ‘grafters and crafters’, have been producing award winning wines since 2014 having introduced vines to their family farm in East Anglia in 2011. The family know the land well with four generations having worked it for over 100 years.

A leafy nose with notes of notes of elderflower and and distant stone fruits. Again, fresh and leafy on the palate with passionfruit and a touch of lime on the end. A great aperitif.
"A cute little beauty from Essex, crammed with summery notes of elderflower" Jonathan Ray, The Field Magazine, April 2023 (2021 vintage)
“Was it a coincidence that the wine I thought best, and which Private Cellar stock, comes from their oldest vines? The Amélie Bacchus, potentially England’s signature grape with aromas of hedgerow and elderflower, has a concentration that none of the other wines could quite match.” Tom Lewis, June 2024.
