The cold clay soils in Moulis ensure that its harvest is usually a good week later than in St Julien; in a hot year like 2022 they really came into their own, hydrating the vines throughout the hot summer. 2022 saw a respectable harvest of 38 hectolitres per hectare, compared to under 20 in 2021.
