Deep red black, but not opaque, with a nose of cookie dough, spice – cinnamon – followed by soft red berry fruit and light black fruits behind; on the palate cool black fruit, much more substantial than the nose implies, with plentiful ripe tannins and some blueberry notes. Very tight and cool, very grown up, and going to a long, evolving, spiced and creamed finish. This is a vintage with great ageing potential. Drink 2026 - 2035
